HISTORY

Shekinah Mountain Bible Fellowship (S.M.B.F) became a functioning reality as a non-profit organization on August 31, 2001. As Pastor Meredith faithfully served within numerous ministries in varying capacities; it was at this same time he believed that God was calling him to launch the S.M.B.F a Bible-Teaching Ministry established to the glory of God.

Pastor Meredith’s faithfulness in other Pastor’s visions had brought him to the place of pursuing the calling that God had placed upon his life. He felt that if he didn’t move on what God had place in his heart, it would be the final call for the ministry God wanted to establish through him.

SMBF began on September 4, 2001. The bible study was held in the home of one of the ministry partners. In February 2002, we relocated the bible study to a meeting room in a local hotel. Shortly after transitioning to the hotel, Pastor Meredith was led to graduate to the next level.  This was not only to facilitate a bible study, but to become a church. In obedience to the word placed in Pastor Meredith’s heart, Shekinah Mountain Bible Fellowship held its first church service on Easter Sunday March 31, 2002. SMBF has been going and growing ever since.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe that God is the creator and maker of all things, that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died on the cross for the sins of mankind. That Jesus Christ was buried and resurrected in three days and is the Redeemer of mankind. We believe in the Promised Comforter which is the Holy Spirit: in the existence of Heaven and Hell and that man through his choices will spend eternity in one of these places. We believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God, that water baptism is an outward expression of our identification with Christ. Additionally; We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues. We believe in Holy Communion. We believe in divine healing, in the giving of finances through tithe and offerings and in the sanctity of marriage between one man and one woman.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

“To bring Christ to Man through reconciliation, thereby communicating the message of God’s love and the love of HIS Son Jesus Christ.”

OUR VISION

To carry out the mandate  of Jesus Christ  through the ministry of His Word to the Family, the Orphan, the Widow and  the Outcast, and to those who maybe spiritually, physically, or mentally compromised. Seeing the manifestation of being complete in HIM(Christ)..
